Where to find this feature

The Deny Access feature is located on the member profile page.

  • Go to the profile of a member

  • Click the "More options" button (top right of the profile)

  • Select "Deny access" from the dropdown menu

  • You need administrator rights to perform this action

How does this feature work?

  1. Click "More options" on the member profile and select "Deny access"

  2. A modal appears with the following options:

    • Period — choose how long access is denied:

      • 1 day

      • 1 week

      • 1 month

      • Custom (select a specific end date via the date picker)

      • Until further notice (no end date — requires manual reactivation)

    • Reason (optional) — enter a reason; this will be logged in the member's activity history

    • Send confirmation email (toggle, on by default) — the member automatically receives an email

  3. Click "Confirm" to deny access

  4. The member will no longer have access to the gym, but billing continues as normal

⚠️ Note: this feature is not the same as disabling an account. When access is denied, billing remains active.

How do other gyms use this?

  • Gyms use this feature for payment arrears — access is denied until the outstanding balance is paid, without stopping the membership billing

  • For behavioural issues, the "Until further notice" option is used so management can assess the situation before restoring access

  • Some gyms set a 1-week period as a first warning when gym rules are violated

What are the current limitations?

  • It is not possible to deny access to multiple members at the same time
